Results and Appeals - Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied
Students wishing to appeal their result in one or more subjects can do so through the CSSP (Candidate Self Service Portal).
Viewing Scripts
There is a very tight timeframe for applying to view scripts. The application deadline will be strictly applied and it will not be possible to accept late applications. This is necessary in order to ensure that the other stages of the appeal process can be completed as quickly as possible.
At 12pm Tuesday 26th August the following services are available:
Access to Data - You will receive written examination component marks, post mark adjustments and the final graded mark for each subject. Please refer to Candidate Information Guide 3 – Click here for link to Candidate Information Guide 3
At 5pm Tuesday 26th August the following services are available:
Application to View Leaving Certificate Scripts - This service will be available from 5pm Tuesday 26th August and closes 8pm Wednesday 27th August 2025. Once you login to the CSSP you will have access to this application. (Tick the subject you wish to view. NOTE:- there are some exceptions which will be detailed in the Candidate Information Guide to Results & Appeals regarding Scripts in subjects Marked Online). When you have completed your selection of scripts that you wish to view, please print a screenshot of the confirmation. You will receive a confirmation email to the email you registered on the portal confirming the scripts you selected to view. If you do not receive this email please contact the helpdesk immediately.
Applications to View Leaving Certificate Applied Scripts Leaving Certificate Applied candidates who wish to avail of this option must download this form HERE and return it by email to applications can be made by email to viewlcascript@examinations.ie by 8pm, Wednesday 27th August.
Appealing a Result
Applications to appeal Leaving Certificate results, through the Candidate Self Service Portal, will be accepted;
From: 10 AM on Sunday 31 August 2025
To: 5 PM on Monday 1 September 2025
In order that the SEC can process the appeals as quickly as possible, the appeal application deadline will be strictly applied. Under no circumstances will late applications be accepted.
It is recommend that you do not leave this until the last minute.
Examination Appeal fees apply in 2025, at a rate of €40 per Leaving Certificate subject and at €15.50 per Leaving Certificate Applied subject. The fee is refunded in the event of a successful appeal. A valid application will comprise both the application to appeal and the payment of the appeal fee.
It is intended that Appeals results will issue on Friday 26 September through the Candidate Self Service Portal. This date is provisional until such time as the number of appeals is known.
