We are delighted to announce the formation of our DEIS Student Committee for the upcoming academic year. Working closely with our DEIS Coordinator, Ms. Nic Thiarnáin, this dynamic group of students will play a key role in shaping the future of learning and teaching in our school.
The committee will be made up of enthusiastic representatives from each year group to ensure the voices of all students are heard. Each member will focus on one of the DEIS pillars – such as Literacy, Numeracy, Attendance – allowing for a broad and balanced approach to school development.
Throughout the year, the committee will:
-
Meet regularly to discuss key aspects of learning in our school
-
Analyse and revise student surveys
-
Take part in focus groups and present their findings
-
Offer feedback to staff and the Senior Leadership Team
-
Work to strengthen and sustain student voice in every aspect of school life
We are excited to see what this dedicated group will achieve as they help lead positive change in our school community through the DEIS framework.
