💻 Using Google Classroom

Google Classroom is a virtual space where teachers and students share work and communicate. When a teacher creates a ‘class’ on Google Classroom, a unique code is generated. Students use this code to join the class. This code is not the same as your Google password.

On Google Classroom, teachers can assign work and communicate with students. They can also share learning resources and website links. Students can ask their teachers questions, both publicly or privately. Teachers and students may also use video conferencing for lessons. Our video conferencing policy is available on the school website.

When students have completed their work, they can upload it for their teacher to review. There are several ways to upload work, and teachers will let students know which method is best depending on the task. Teachers can assess uploaded work and give feedback.

How to access Google Classroom:

  • Go to https://classroom.google.com

  • Log in using your @stmarkscs.ie email address and password (students have this login)

  • Once logged in, your Google Classroom dashboard will appear

  • Click on a class to open its Google Classroom page

  • You can also download the free Google Classroom app and log in using your @stmarkscs.ie email address and password
