The junior cycle has changed and is continuing to change. The junior cycle places students at the centre of the learning process and allows new ways of learning that can be assessed broadly.

Junior cycle students study a combination of core and option subjects.
Our core subjects are; Mathematics, English, Irish, Science, History, Geography, CSPE, SPHE, PE and RE. These core subjects are studied by all students.
Students choose their optional subjects before starting first year in September. The availability of some option subjects may vary year to year depending on demand and availability of resources.
Our range of option subjects may include; Technical Graphics, Woodwork, Metalwork, Home Economics. Business, Music, Art, Coding, Financial Education, German, Spanish and French.

The Framework contains 24 Statements of Learning which are underpinned by 8 Principles.
