Junior Cycle

The junior cycle has changed and is continuing to change. The junior cycle places students at the centre of the learning process and allows new ways of learning that can be assessed broadly.

Further information for parents including details about Classroom Based Assessments (CBA) and the Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement (JCPA) can be found at JC Information for Parents of Post-Primary Students

Junior cycle students study a combination of core and option subjects.

Students choose their optional subjects before starting first year in September. The availability of some option subjects may vary year to year depending on demand and availability of resources.

Our range of option subjects may include; Technical Graphics, Woodwork, Metalwork, Home Economics. Business, Music, Art, Coding, Financial Education, German, Spanish and French.
