The Student Council at St Mark’s Community School plays an important role in representing student voice and helping to shape school life. Each year, representatives are elected by their year group to act on behalf of their peers, bringing ideas, concerns, and feedback to regular council meetings.
The council provides a platform for students to actively participate in decision making and to engage with topics that matter both in and outside the classroom. From organising voter registration events for 18 year olds to participating in regional and national student voice initiatives, the Student Council ensures that student perspectives are heard at every level.
Council members also take part in collaborative events with other local schools, attend regional forums, and contribute to whole school initiatives — including assemblies, awareness campaigns and school wide projects.
Working closely with Mr. McAndrew, the Student Council continues to grow as a dynamic, proactive group - empowering students to make a real impact within our school community and beyond.
